Xplor Recreation was happy to be a sponsor for the MISA (Municipal Information Systems Association) BC Fall Conference this year. It's great to see North Vancouver being utilized for industry conferences. We have the space, the scenery, and the community to host such events. The City of North Vancouver and the District of North Vancouver were responsible for BUILD IT, the theme, speakers and fantastic participation this year.

It’s no surprise how important IT professionals are to the Parks and Recreation associations, but this conference gave a whole new meaning to their profession. We heard high-level topics on: (1) Infrastructure: build the foundation, (2) Applications: build the Framework and (3) GIS – Build the future. We heard from speakers, such as Leonard Brody, and David Eaves.

We would like to give a special thanks to Linda Hunter, Event Coordinator and Carolyne Taylor, Tradeshow Manager for coordinating a great event.
