WRPA 2016: Intersecting Health & Fun
Whether you are a first-time conference go-er looking to develop new skills and network with professionals in the field, or have been a longtime WRPA member, this year's WRPA Annual Conference & Trade Show would not have disappointed.
The WRPA Annual Conference & Trade Show attracted students, new Parks & Recreation professionals, and seasoned WRPA members alike to the Pacific Northwest's scenic city of Everett for two days of learning, networking, and socializing.
Home to over 40 parks and some of Washington State's best golf courses, it's no wonder that Everett was chosen for this year's conference location. There were no shortage of pre-conference activites for delegates to enjoy before diving into the annual event.
Nate Tack, our Enterprise Sales Executive, enjoyed the opportunity to personally connect one-on-one with attendees during the tradeshow breaks. We were delighted to hear that many attendees got to know us through our recent win in Tacoma!
Xplor Recreation booth set up, ready for the tradeshow
From pre-con recreational activities to social evening events, WRPA ensured that health and fun did indeed intersect, and kept delegates busy with the array of social activities in between the varied education sessions offered.
In addition to hosting the annual conferences, WRPA also honours individuals and organizations for their contributions to the field of parks and recreation in Washington State with its annual awards program. Congratulations to all of this year's deserving winners!
Xplor Recreation also shares the enjoyment of giving - so we did a prize draw of our own.
We are happy to announce that Carl Strong, City of Spokane Parks & Recreation - Assistant Director of Recreation, is the lucky winner of the Apple TV! Congratulations, Carl!
We'd like to thank the WRPA team for putting on a such a wonderful event, and hope that all the delegates had a great time - we certainly did!
